Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian film, theatre as well as TV actor for more than 20 years. The fate had decided to cast her as an actor. The actress turned down numerous opportunities due to the popularity of her first movie in order to continue her education. The film returned at the age of 14 to portray the character of the mutant Rogue in X-Men - the initial film of the X-Men film series. Her role in the film brought international fame to her. Her character was reprised as 'Rogue' in subsequent sequels including "X2," and "X-Men: The Last Stand.' She also made brief appearances on screen, such as 'Elaine Goodale' in "Bury My Love at Wounded Knee which where she earned her first Oscar nomination. She was soon inundated with requests to appear in the television series. The roles she played included 'True Blood,' 'Flack', and many others.
